Mark Hulton

Mark Hulton

Mark spent the first 10 years of his career in various senior hospitality roles, predominantly within food and beverage and sales and marketing. He has worked for leading hospitality businesses such as Firmdale, Gordon Ramsay Holdings and Rocco Forte Hotels.

Mark started his career in recruitment working as a consultant at a global firm, recruiting qualified accountants into Commerce and Industry up to CFO level. He then moved his focus back into the hospitality industry, first working in an executive search business and from there an international recruitment business. He has worked on a variety of contingent recruitment and senior level retained assignments.

Will Davies

Will Davies

Will has an extensive background in both hospitality and recruitment. He spent 8 years in hotel operations and then sales and marketing before moving into recruitment. To date Will has accrued 11 years of specialist hospitality and leisure sales and marketing recruitment experience. He has worked with a wide variety of hotels and hospitality companies and has a thorough understanding of this sector.

UK Marketing Manager – Social Entertainment Brand – London

About the employer

We are working on a Marketing Manager role with an exciting and innovative social entertainment brand, part of a larger group, which is very much at the forefront of the social venue scene in the UK. These design-led spaces offer a bar, restaurant and entertaining activity all on the same site and appeal to a wide demographic. This is already an established business, so they are looking for the Marketing Manager to take full ownership for the brand and help take it to the next level. You will be based in Central London and report into the Brand & Marketing Director for the group.

The Role of the Marketing Manager

  • Own the marketing plan and manage all agency activity and spend
  • Oversee database set up, integration, processes and performance
  • Manage the online booking systems in relation to customer journey, customer segmentation and results on marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Act as digital marketing expert, liaising with existing tech partners on their results, whilst always looking for the next big tech relationship
  • Carry out sourcing of new marketing, media, retail and business partners for future promotions
  • Oversee the Corporate marketing, customer segmentation, online bookings and reporting on marketing spend

Director of Sales –  Iconic 4* Deluxe Hotel

About the employer

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales to take this stunning luxury hotel in Manchester to the next level. An iconic property in the city, the hotel offers stylish and contemporary bedrooms and suites, together with award-winning destination restaurants and bar, extensive meeting and event facilities and a luxurious spa. The Director of Sales will lead and manage the proactive and reactive sales teams, creating and implementing a successful sales strategy for the hotel.

About the role

  • Create and implement the sales and marketing strategy.
  • Drive sales across all market segments into the hotel.
  • Promote and market the destination restaurants and bar.
  • Lead and develop the sales team.
  • Develop relationships with key clients and agents.
  • Work closely with the GM, Regional DOS and national sales team.
  • Hold site visits and client entertainment as required.
  • Produce sales activity reports as required.

What we are looking for

  • Proven, successful experience as a hotel Director of Sales is preferred.
  • Current experience within the Manchester market is preferable but not essential.
  • A proven track record of successful business development and account management is essential.
  • A self-motivated, driven, results orientated and proactive attitude is required.
  • People management and leadership experience is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A full and clean driving licence and own car are preferred.

Salary & Package

Up to £60,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.

Director of Sales – 4* Deluxe Hotel

About the employer

This recently refurbished, contemporary 350-bedroom hotel in central London boasts stylish bedrooms, extensive M&E facilities and popular food and beverage concepts. Part of a sought-after global group, this hotel is looking for someone to lead the proactive sales activity for the hotel.

About the role

  • Drive Corporate and MICE sales from across London into the hotel.
  • Develop relationships with key clients and agents.
  • Regular face-to-face appointments per week to source new business.
  • Lead, manage and develop the on-property sales team.
  • Work closely with the Group DOS and Brand Sales teams.
  • Hold site visits and client entertainment as required.
  • Produce sales activity reports as required.

What we are looking for

  • Senior level hotel sales experience is essential.
  • Current experience within the London market is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of successful business development and account management is essential.
  • A self-motivated, driven, results orientated and proactive attitude is required.
  • People management and leadership experience is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A full and clean driving licence and own car are essential.

Salary & Package

Up to £45,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.

Senior Sales Manager Groups – Luxury Lifestyle Hotel

About the employer

We are working with a new, design-led, luxury lifestyle hotel concept, soon to launch its exciting brand in the London market. They are looking for a Senior Sales Manager Groups with an enviable list of good contacts, to come in and focus on driving revenue from the Groups and MICE markets in the UK and Europe. You will need to be a true hunter who is entrepreneurial and commercial with the ability to nurture strong relationships. This role will be based on property and reports into the General Manager.

About the role

  • Drive Groups/MICE sales from a national and international client base into the property.
  • Develop relationships with key clients and agents.
  • Regular face-to-face appointments weekly to source new business.
  • Work closely with the rest of the sales team.
  • Hold site visits and client entertainment as required.
  • Attend national and international trade shows.
  • Produce sales activity reports as required.

What we are looking for

  • Strong knowledge of UK/European Groups and MICE markets.
  • Lifestyle hotel experience would be an advantage.
  • A proven track record of successful business development and account management is highly desirable.
  • A self-motivated, driven, results-orientated and proactive attitude is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Salary and package

£45,000 per annum plus bonus.
